The Neighbours !!!!

I enter the gates…. I enter home…...
up the stairs ….. I smell a cake being baked….
is that someone over the phone?
Whose baby is crying? I keep climbing….
I hear the voice of the actors on a television show….
I smell fresh masala being fried……
I hear a dog bark and it’s not mine…..
I hear a door bang close….. I keep walking
….is that laughter coming out of that door?
The song of Robbie William’s Angel fills my ears…
or was it Beatles?
All doors are closed in front of me… am I locked out?
I reach a door…I ring a bell
and there my mother greets me with a warm welcome
….and bang another door closes!!!!

Not a bad reason to hate???

The only reason anyone would ever hate you is because they want to be just like
you !!!!!

MIDDLE CLASS MORALITIES

AN ESSAY
By
TARUN SHARMA

Had Moses been a twenty first century middle class man he would have also included an eleventh commandment which would say “thou shall look down upon anyone who does not uphold the above”. Welcome to the world of the middle class and there sanctimonious morals .Need a crash course about middle class morals ?, just tune into star TV every night and watch carefully as one of the characters executes her revenge on anyone who deviates from the norm .The middle class also known as one of the stringent followers of Moses’ ten commandments or “eleven commandments” has invented morals over the years .morals which they f eel need to be imposed on everyone else .Ever since the middle class carved out a comfortable niche for itself in the scheme of things ,they consider it their duty to ensure everyone else is following the morals .Morals invented for the purpose of convenience and to label things good or bad ,none of which are necessarily relevant .

The purpose of most these inventions or rather machinations of society are to curb the spirit of individualism and freedom and to also maintain the illusion society has created for itself .We all believe what we choose to as long as we are given a viable choice .We believe we are free of prejudices and are free to do as we like .The truth however is completely the opposite .We are so bound by social stigma and morals that we tremble at the thought of taking a leap. We are the crew of the sinking ship which refuses to jump overboard and would rather resign to their fate.

Tomboy!!!

Something I came across on a friend's blog..really liked it!!being a tomboy myself i felt it was so accurate.. being a guy i don't know how he really came out wit this analysis....anayway read on...

My favourite breed of woman ;)! A tomboy usual starts life being a rebel, learning to question things, learning to defy what being a woman means. I usually consider a tomboy as the natural feminist.

But that is where everything changes! For while normal women usually are very timid and conformist in the beginning and then develop the rebel attitude later... the tomboy is a rebel initially, when young. Later on, she learns to get in touch with her feminine side. So, for me, if a tomboy behaves as a woman, she is showing her maturity. It's like the full cycle comes round, that you are who you want to be, then you are who you expect to be.For a conformist woman, it's the other way.Thats the interesting part, and thats why for me, the tomboy seems so complete a woman.I am not sure that a conformist woman, will ever get in touch with their masculine side.Atleast, I would never know :P

A tomboy is so used to being "One of the guys" that she usually ends up missing out being "One of the girls" Hence while most girls would go out to parties with their boyfriends, most tomboys would be too busy doing 'guy' things to bother. The tomboy is too busy enjoying life, discovering things that most women would never do in two lifetimes. It's never a question of "I don't want to do this", more like "Wot do i do next!"The general impression is that, the strongest species of woman is the tomboy. But in reality, their plight is just the same as us men, with an identity crisis of showing a hard exterior while possessing a soft interior. I would say that a tomboy is actually a lot more sensitive than she looks. It's more about being a pillar of strength most of the time, and being a sweet little girl to a select few.

Most of the successful models today are tomboys. My opinion on this is the fact that a tomboy is a more complete woman(according to a man!), which explains the added Oomph and Daring associated with them.

Was that me????

I open my eyes and I’m standing alone in the middle of the dark corridor. How did I get here I ask myself. What time is it? The corridor is empty, the entire hostel is asleep. How did I get here? Did I sleep walk? God I’m scared. I need to get back to my room to bed.

I lie there on my bed all alone. Frightened. What if some day I get up in the middle of the night and don’t know where I am. Alone on a dark winding road which is unfamiliar to me. Alone in my night pyjamas. No money. No phone. No nothing. What if?

What if in my sleep I walk to my balcony, and jump. I don’t know who I am or what I can do when I’m sleep walking. Is it the same Charlene? Or someone else walking?
Is it me who decides what I do when I’m sleep-walking or it some third person in me who’s trying to break free.

Will it ever end? How do I know it’s the end? What if I don’t remember where I’ve been last night sleep-walking? Who’s this person in me who wants to explore? Who wants to get out? Is she a dormant side of me who gets her way at night when I have no control of my body? Or do I have control of my body? I don’t know.

Sleeping Beauty!!!

I lie there on my bed, my eyes shut. I don’t have any place to go today. The cold is biting; the warm bed is so comforting. Do I need to get away from this warmth, is it really worth it? Get up from bed and do something worthwhile with your day my conscience tells me. But I just want to keep sleeping. Why can’t I just spend my day in bed? I know I’ll feel guilty that I’ve wasted an entire day not doing anything much.

But why is just staying in bed and lazing around considered a waste. Yes I know time waits for no one. Fine big deal if I waste a few hours just doing nothing. As long as I’m enjoying it right?

What do we really want out of life?

Have you ever realized that in every 2 out of 3 conversations, we are whining or complaining about something on the other. Either it is about how we don’t want to attend class or about how we don’t have time to have fun or complaining about work or something or the other.

What are we really doing in life? Why are we so called “suffering” in life? Don’t we have a choice of what we can do in life? It’s OUR life after all…. We control it….. If we don’t like studying, attending classes, etc. , then why did we knowingly enrol in our MBA course. If we don’t get time to have fun, why don’t we make time to have fun? After all the 24 hours in a day belongs to me and no one else. So I should choose what to do every hour of my day.

Ok, fine I guess we are educating ourselves in order to get a good paying job. Why do we need a good job? It’s all for the money. Money for what? Happiness!!!!

I really don’t understand, so we land up suffering our entire life in order to be happy? Is our life that ironic? We all are just running a race and we don’t know where the race ends? We don’t really know what we want. So even once we accomplish our goals, we don’t know what to do next. All of us are blindly running where? And for what reason are we running?

Why can’t we just stop and enjoy the journey of life!!!!

Value Chain--"Destroy or be Destroyed"

A *Value Chain* can be defined as set of activities required to design, procure, produce, market, distribute, and service a product or service. It's a sequential set of primary and support activities that an enterprise performs to turn inputs into value-added outputs for its external customers as a part of a corporate strategy.

The "primary activities" include: inbound logistics, production, outbound logistics, sales and marketing, maintenance. The "support activities" include: administrative infrastructure management, human resources management, R&D, and procurement.

The value chain was described and popularized by Michael Porter in his 1985 best-seller: Competitive Advantage: Creating and Sustaining SuperiorPerformance. Its ultimate goal of a value chain is to maximize value creation while minimizing costs. But to the contrary while adding value it adds unnecessary costs.

The new forces of digitalization, globalization and deregulation are destroying value chains of even superior companies. In industries as varied as banking, insurance and utilities, retail, education, competitive advantage is being wiped out as new competitors quickly produce new value chains that use a killer application of digital technology to radically alter the equation. Most often it is a start up or an organization from an entirely different industry that may destroy your value chain. These new entrants have even less of a vested interest in the old model and often can do much more damage much more quickly. Companies focused on competing in the current market often overlook these new players, dismissing them and the technology they employ as insignificant until it's too late to respond strategically.

To respond effectively, organizations must now consider scrapping rather than optimizing their value chains. They are pre-emptively destroying their own value chains. The new saying in the industry is *"Destroy or be destroyed."* These industries are now forming new relationships with customers and competitors by automating expensive processes or giving away proprietary tools others can use to evolve away from the industry entirely.

Let us take the example of *online education*. Online education is an extension of the traditional form of distance education. Typically it involves the use of the Internet to access learning materials; to interact with the content, instructor, and other learners; and to obtain support during the learning process, in order to acquire knowledge, to construct personal meaning, and to grow from the learning experience. The use of technology here has been embedded within a wider strategy for teaching, learning, and service that is responsive to the challenges of technological change. Many adult education and training providers are running to get on the online learning bandwagon because several global groups of institutions are collaborating to promote distance education in a big way. They are busy transforming existing courses and creating new ones for online delivery. The participation of single institutions and groups of institutions has resulted in increased opportunities for online learning all over the world. Institutions are trying new delivery and support strategies, and looking at competency-based credentialing systems and performance-based learning. Why pay for college and attend classes when you can do it in the comfort of your home or office for a much lesser price. Nowadays working people can still make use of online courses and don't need to break away from their job at the same time.

Animated Movies-- They totally rock!!

I've always got mixed reactions from people especially friends of my age group about animated pictures. Some of them love these pictures and some of them find them too childish for their age. As for me I find them really hilarious and very well made!!

And nowadays these movies are so reall... the way they are made... the actions and expressions of the characters, they r just like real movie stars!!

The latest one i enjoyed watching was "Madagascar"... those who hav'nt seen it don't miss it... really good movie... "Ice Age"..... "Toy Story"..... "Finding NEMO" ... the list goes on..

Life

Always leave them laughing when you say goodbye
-Lessing.

Man is a social animal!!!

Is he???????He can’t live his life without interacting wit people. Is this true? Yes, he does need other people to fulfill his basic needs and desires like food, shelter, etc. Other than these needs does he still needs to interact with other people??

There are people who exist who rarely interact with much people in their day to day life. Like some people who just work on their computer for days together and don’t step out of their house. We usually consider these people to be crazy. But they aint crazy, they are people who have total control of their lives, according to me.

Take the example of a writer who locks himself up in some cabin in some mountain side for almost a month. He does so not because he’s a lonely person or afraid of interacting with people. He does so because this is what he loves doing in his life. Does he really feel lonely having no people around hum for a month? No. Does that mean he’s not social? No. He just enjoys his life, in his own special way.

Can we all really live like this writer? I know I can’t!! I can do the same for a day or maybe… just maybe stretch it for a week. But a month? I’d die of isolation.

Is it because I’m abnormal? Or is it that the writer is abnormal? Who am I to judge ? Who are we to judge others?

In one way I think I’m the one who is abnormal. I don’t have enough control in my life to live without other people.

But thinking about it again, why should I live without people around me? Why should I purposely isolate myself from others. Everybody including me loves being around family and friends. Yes I agree we do need time for ourselves too. But otherwise most of the time we want to spend timw with people who we love and love us in return.

And why shouldn’t we want that? Everyone wants to enjoy every moment of his life.

So well don’t really think about any of the stuff I just said, its all crap!!!

Just live life to the fullest and have no regrets cause you live life only once..

MUSIC is as dangerous as narcotics!!!!

Have you ever had the feeling that you just cant get a song out of your head... and its not because you just love that song..but because you just heard it sumwhere and the song just cant leave your head and no matter where you go for the rest of the day u keep humming that song??

Have you ever been able to stop yourself from tapping you feet or maybe stop yourself from swaying your body to your favorite song?

Why do we love certain songs more than others? Is it because it just has a special tune to it? or is it because the reality of the lyrics just slap us in our face!!! The lyrics are so true and are exactly what we are feeling in our life!!

Don't tell me you've never been inspired from music..... don't tell me your favorite song is your favorite not because of the lyrics that have touched your heart or soul at some level!!!

you don't have to know anything about music to like music and that's the beauty of music.....

Music just hits the body and paralyses it letting the soul to take over!!!!!!!!!!

Why we so scared of death!!!

" Everone wants to go to heaven , but noone wants to die "

How ironic...life is so ironic....why do we run from our fears.. Why dont we just face it and realise that there is nothin scary about them !!

Heaven? Hell? Heaven is paradise and hell is torture.... reaaly?

I dont think so... What if heaven turns out to be reaaly boring for me and hell interests me....have u ever thought about that?

They say all "good" people go to heaven..what if i don't wanna be wit good borin people...coz then Heaven will be Hell for me!!!!!

The reason we don't wanna die is the 'knowledge of the unknown'.... Nobody knows what's out there and thus we become complacent with what we have here on earth....

We should explore the unknown and learn!!!!
